​Wayne Eskeli, son of Mrs. M. Saxberg, Hanna, enlisted in the Army Air Corps on September 30, 1942, and received his discharge December 15, 1945. Wayne served his country three years, two years and two months of this being overseas in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre of Operations. (UPCCEM, June 1946)

Note: Wayne served in the Army Air Force as an airplane mechanic for a troop carrier squadron that operated against the Japanese over Burma. Wayne was the son of Mrs. Hilma Saxberg. Wayne graduated from Hanna High School. (CCA)

Note: Wayne "Yonks" Eskeli was bon in Hanna, Wyoming to Hilma Linde. He married Sarah Ellen Cummings on September 7, 1946 in Denver, Colorado. He died on June 19, 1996 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He was 85 at the time of his death. He has a military headstone in the Hanna, Wyoming cemetery. (BL)
