1932 -1941: Gus Siltimaki Coal Company's Peacock Underground Mine at Elmo, Wyoming

The Gus Siltimaki Coal Company's Peacock underground mine at Elmo opened production of coal in 1932 and closed in 1941. The mine operated at Elmo for 9 years. During that time, it produced 11,894 tons of coal with a peak work force of 11 workers in 1932. No deaths were reported in the mine.
