Note: Obituary of John C. Kerr, Hanna Old Timer: Death claimed John C. Kerr, Hanna Old Timer, after a short illness on July 25, 1931. Mr. Kerr was well known and liked by all. He was born in Ohio on November 6, 1858. He came to Wyoming in 1893 and was employed by The Union Pacific Coal Company as blacksmith for about 23 years. He retired from the service in 1919. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias Lodge No. 14 of Hanna for 24 years. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, six children and eleven grandchildren, also two sisters and two brothers all of whom attended his funeral. Services were held at the Methodist Church on July 28 and interment in Hanna cemetery. (UPCCEM September 1931)
