1916 April 21: William "Wild Bill" Carlisle Robbed a Train Near Hanna

William "Wild Bill" Carlisle, the infamous “last train robber,” robbed the passengers on the Union Pacific San Francisco Limited near Hanna, Wyoming on April 21, 1916.
A posse was put together and "Wild Bill" was caught the next day just north of Hanna. On May 10, 1916, he was sentenced to life in prison at the State Penitentiary in Rawlins.
